arc-itechParticipantHi I developed an Android app and launched early last year, it has been selling fine with no problems. However this week I received a complaint that the buttons do not work for a Nexus 7 Gen 2 device.
Could you advise if this is a known issue or if there is a fix for this?
Many thanks
Andy
support-octavioMemberHi arc-itech,
We need more information in order to replicate the issue.
1) I imagine that you have developed this app with a previous version of Mobione, do you remember what is the one that you used to build it?
2) Do you know what is the android version?
3) In my experience the expression “doesn’t work” is very confusing and make fixing the issue take longer time. Please share details about the buttons and how they are failing.Share any additional info that you consider helpful for us to investigate and find a solution for the problem.
arc-itechParticipantHi Thanks for getting back to me:
The Android version is Jellybean,
The version of Mobione is was built on was either 2.1 or 2.2
basically the first screen the user sees is a disclaimer button they have to press the accept button to continue to the next screen. when the button is pressed nothing happens.Hope that’s enough info. Sorry I cant be more precise on the version as I purchased the mobione around September 2012 and it had a few version updates in 2013.
BrandonMemberWhat code or function are you using to call the next screen?
If you are using a actual function remember you may have to add the screen in the addition project file on the screens properties.
support-octavioMemberHi arc-itech,
Could you share your project with us? Send it to support at genuitec dot com, use title mobione data from arc-itech. If it’s bigger than 10MB consider using a service such wetransfer.com
Also, if the app is public can you provide us a link to it?
support-octavioMemberHi arc-itech,
I have received and reviewed your app. I couldn’t replicate the behavior described with same device but newest android version: 4.4.2
Could you provide more details f.e. would be very helpful knowing if it happens with all buttons or just with a few – I noted that the buttons on the social media section take a little time to open up the childbrowser. We will continue investigating asap but please be aware that there are other things that have priority which we might not get to it until tomorrow.
arc-itechParticipantHi thanks for looking into it for me. I have contacted my client to see if they can get more information from the person who purchased the app and is having a problems with it.
Regarding the social media buttons. Thanks for looking into this too.
As soon as I get more info I will post it on here
Many Thanks
Andy
arc-itechParticipantHi Has there been any update on the button issue as another customer has contacted me with the same problem with the buttons.
Thanks
support-octavioMemberHi arc-itech,
We researched it and were unable to replicate the issue. Without a reproducable test case it is almost impossible for us to address such issues. Can you provide a reproducable case?
