I have tried for some time to get the hibernate up and running against a legacy database.

I started by finding a fine tutorial from this site and following it step by step, everything goes by the book, and I have made a hibernate app with mapping and everything. After every thing is set up i try to start HSQL QUERY/BUILDER and browse the table I made but everytime it says ‘Can not instantiate id generator’ no matter what generator I chose.
I aimed to use the UUID.hex but havent been successfull yet, the only way I can use the hsql is if I delete the generator part in my mapping.

I have checked the classpath and to my knoledge the classpath contain the id class together with all the hibernate libs.

Any ideas _.
