eric.r.glassParticipantI am still having issues with the Nunjucks extension installed always setting the default editor to be itself for file types *.xhtml. I have repeatedly turned off in CodeMix having it used its editors for this file type and is automatically ignores and changes back while I am working in Eclipse. This is getting very frustrating, so I have tried numerous times to remove the Nunjucks extension, and CodeMix through an error and displays the message ‘Failed to uninstall extensions’. This is not acceptable and user friendly.
support-swapnaModeratorEric,
Sorry that you are seeing this problem. I see the issue with extension uninstall at my end. A bug is raised for the dev team to work on it.
As a workaround you can disable the extension by clicking on the check box besides it. Please see the attachment for your reference.
Hope this helps.

eric.r.glassParticipantDisabling the extension did not work, the extension is still automatically forcing me to use its editor for *.xhtml file types when I do not want to use it.
support-swapnaModeratorEric,
We have already fixed the problem with extension uninstall and the fix will be available in our next release.
As a workaround, you can manually delete the extension from the extensions directory located here :
<user home dir>/.codemix/extensions
. Close Eclipse IDE, go to the extensions directory, locate the folder with the extension you want to remove and delete that folder. Once done, start the Eclipse IDE.Hope this helps. Please let us know if you see any issues with the workaround.

eric.r.glassParticipantThe workaround did not work, the Nunjucks extensions editor is still be forced on me by CodeMix.
Aaron LaraMemberEric, what do you mean by “The Nunjucks extensions editor is still be forced”? Do you see it as an additional editor for your *.xhtml files? When you right click on the file what options do you see for
open with
? A Screenshot would help understanding what is happening. Thanks!

eric.r.glassParticipantThese images are after I had to set the CodeMix Preferred Editors again to not use the their editors for *.zhtml file types; and had to set the default editor back to the preferred Eclipse html editor. The extension manager shows that the Nunjucks extension is removed, but the File Associations and Open With are still showing the Nunjucks CodeMix editor. Also I know after a while of working in Eclipse or after restarting, then the default editor is being reset by CodeMix back to the Nunjucks CodeMix editor.

Aaron LaraMemberEric, can you let us know the name of the extension you installed? or a link to their github would help as well. Its also possible that more than one extension for nunchuck was installed into your extensions directory.
Thanks for the detailed information!

eric.r.glassParticipantI have removed the only two extensions that are related to Nunjucks, which are as follows.

Aaron LaraMemberEric, thanks! While I try to replicate the issue locally it would really help if you edit your
eclipse.ini
file by adding after-vmargs
:
-Dcom.genuitec.eclipse.engine.log=true
A log file will be generated at your <user home>/.codemix/codemix-<date>. Can you share to us that file?
Thanks in advance!

Aaron LaraMemberEric, I have replicated the issue at my machine thanks to your details. Long story short there is indeed a bug in how we cache registered languages. We will work on a fix for this for our next release.
As a workaround you can do the following:
1. Shut down your Eclipse IDE.
2. Locate and edit the pref tile at<Eclipse install location>/configuration/.settings/com.genuitec.eclipse.code.ui.prefs
.
– Remove the line that starts withregisteredLanguages=
.
– save file.
3. Start up your eclipse. That should be enough to get you up and going, the nunchuck editor should no longer be available.
Thank you very much for your help!

eric.r.glassParticipantThank you for reproducing this issue and giving the workaround. That worked, the Nunjucks editor is gone.
