    hello, I used to be able to deploy the app, but even when I have restalled it so many times, created the workspace from scratch, and so on, I’m still unable to deploy it, and it’s very frustating, this is the error I get in the deployment log:

    Sorry that you are seeing this issue.

    1. Can you please make sure you have permissions to all the folders as it looks like a permission issue?

    2. Please start the MyEclipse Blue as Administrator (right click on the myeclipse-blue.exe > Run as administrator) and see if the issue persists ?

    3. Can you also please check if you can deploy the EAR directly to WAS outside of MyEclipse Blue to rule out any issues with the WAS installation?

    4. Since you are working with a release which is 4-5 years old, and we have made several enhancements to our product in terms of WAS support in our recent releases, I recommend you move to MyEclipse Blue 2014. You can download the latest Blue installer from here : http://www.myeclipseide.com/index.php?name=Recommend_Us&req=Download&version=MEBlue

    The license you currently hold for MyEclipse Blue 8.x is valid for 2014 too as our licenses are time based and not version based. Please give it a try.

    I was able to get a clean ear file from one of our test environments and was able to install it from the websphere console, but not from eclipse, I tried packaged and exploded mode and it won’t work, I ran it like you suggested but still the same, any other suggestions?. Thanks.

    Apologies for the delayed response.

    1. Can you please let us know if you have tried working with MyEclipse Blue 2014 ? If yes, how did the deployment go?

    2. The error log points to issues with the project’s deployment descriptor. Can you please check if the project is JEE 5 instead of J2EE 1.4 ?

    3. Do you see deployment issue with only this project or all projects in MyEclipse ?
