I’m very new with the iPhone and from what I’ve read, it looks like native apps are all that can work with push notifications. It also looks like you need a Mac in order to register and receive the appropriate certificates and app ID’s to make push work. So I’m kind of guessing that web apps cant work with push, but I would love to be proven wrong.

I wish I could prove you wrong but NOGO. You are correct that webapps do on support native iPhone notification.
