    Hi,

I started a new web project and am ready to do an initial deploy to my development server, and when I try to add the deployment, I get the following error message:

RestrictedGroupsManager cannot be deployed. Either is has already been deployed to all enabled and configured servers capable of running it or no appropriate servers have been enabled or configured. To enable and configure a server…. etc etc

I can redeploy projects just fine and neither of the issues addressed in the error message are correct. My assumption is that MyEclipse is checking something that is in fact wrong, but what its reporting is something else.

While that is no doubt a bug that needs to be addresses, my real concern at the moment is figuring out what it’s really complaining about so that I can add the project deployment. The MyEclipse version I’m running is 3.8.1

    Thanks,

    Rob,
If you are trying to deploy the project to a development server that already has a web context by the same name (<tomcat>/webapps/RestrictedGroupsManager) then MyEclipse will pop this error up. If there is no existing deployment this is very odd and I would encourage you to upgrade to 3.8.4, I know we fixed a handful of bugs in 3.8.2 and 3.8.4 related to the deployment tool.
