I’m trying to use the equivalent of CATALINA_BASE and CATALINA_HOME with MEIDE to no avail. I can deploy just fine when the three directories are the tomcat install directory (c:\tomcat-5.0.19, c:\tomcat-5.0.19, c:\tomcat-5.0.19\temp), but if I change it to another directory (c:\eclipse\workspace\com.blah.app\deployment\base), I get no exceptions on the log or on the console when running with -debug and a dialog that flashes by on me before disappearing. I’ve tried wiping down all preferences files and whatnot but nothing helps. There is a yellow warning icon next to my deployment. I cannot remove or redeploy without getting the flashing dialog and nothing else.

    Help?

    thanks,
    greg

    Greg,
The deployment tool in the existing MyEclipse release is limited in that it wants you to deploy to the ‘standard’ app server directory. I believe in 2.8 (beta in the next week or so) we will allow arbitrary-location deployment which should clear up any problems you are having.
