Marek CyzioMember1. MyEclipse/Subscription Information does not display anything – there is no page to enter subscription information.
2. MyEclipse/Preferences and then navigating to MyEclipse/Subscription Displays error message “Could Not Accept Changes”/”The currently displayed page contains invalid values.”. This is on first attempt. When you try again, it finally shows the Subscription page with NO subscription data (and yes, I had a professional license on 8.0 installed). And when I click on Enter Subscription… button, nothing happens.
The error log shows large amount of “Unhandled event loop exception” / “com.genuitec.eclipse.core.GenuitecCoreRTException: ECLIPSE_HOME is undefined.” errors followed by “Problems occurred when invoking code from plug-in: “org.eclipse.jface””, “com.genuitec.eclipse.core.GenuitecCoreRTException: ECLIPSE_HOME is undefined.” error.
support-joyMemberMarekCyzio,
Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Looks like the upgrade from ME 8.0 to ME 8.5 isn’t complete. I would recommend you a quick fix using pulse. Please follow below mentioned –
1. Open Pulse. If you don’t have pulse, download the same from http://www.poweredbypulse.com
2. Login to pulse. You can also login anonymously.
3. Select “Eclipse – Galileo” realm from top left hand corner dropdown.
4. This will redirect you to the pulse-explorer
5. Under “My Profiles”, right click on “MyEclipse 8.5” and from the context menu click on [Re-install and run]
6. This will open a wizard which will guide you through the rest of the steps.
7. Next open MyEclipse 8.5, from menu options click on MyEclipse / Subscription and enter your subscription details.
8. In case this is still an issue, can you open .myeclipse.properties file located in your [User-Home] directory. Typically for windows, it could be located here c:\Documents and Settings\[username]\.myeclipse.properties. Edit this file and enter the LICENSE-KEY and LICENSEE information. This information is very super sensitive. Please use extreme caution while editing this file. Do not enter extra spaces or special characters such as enter key.Let me know how this works for you.

I have to admit I have reservations against Pulse software and I was hoping there is a way to fix this issue without installing Pulse. But I will try.
Update – Pulse refused to reinstall MyEclipse 8.5:
Update 2 – after some playing with Pulse, I got it to work. Thanks!
support-joyMemberMarekCyzio,
Good to hear you are all set. In case you still face dependency issue related to IE Javascript debugger or Dynamic Languages Toolkit Core, please open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Help > MyEclipse Configuration Center. Choose “Dashboard” tab. Un-check *MyEclipse IE Javascipt Debugger (Windows Only)*. “Pending Changes” on bottom right hand section will list 1 managed change. Please click on [Apply 1 change] and follow the wizard.
Best.
