jonathannewMemberSorry, I cannot post any reply to my topic “buttons misaligned when converted into Andriod app” for last 3 days. The error I kept getting is “page cannot be found”.
I am really getting desperate so I am posting here to ask for help from support.
jonathannewMemberI have tried to delete internet explorer cookies as clear this board’s cookies. I have also tried to create a new ID
I also tried switching to google chrome but posting reply returns this error “Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.”
I also tried posting a new topic and it did not work. I am surprised I was able to post successfully just now after like 10 tries.
Please help.
Paul_paulParticipantI tried like once to post the reply I posted before and it like worked.
All I can suggest is this, in the auto resize properties for your buttons you should only have the top centre red ‘I’ selected, in the centre box just the green arrow left to right selected. That should auto size correctly across all sizes. I also think you should select the universal box for all sizes.
Code_AMemberCan you post an example mobi file that shows the problem? Maybe you can strip down your current project so it just has the buttons left and then upload that file. Auto-resizing can be tricky and hard to troubleshoot without seeing the layout.
BrandonMemberI had the same problem trying to response to the compass issue it would not let me use any type of code, I had to attach a text file.
jonathannewMemberpost reply testing
jonathannewMemberHere is my mobione file- using Mobione version 2.6.1.
ps to Support: there is a problem for me to post reply to support section. I kept getting “page not found” when I click the submit button. Today I had a different error ” webpage timeout”. Is it because I need to type the message and submit by a certain time?

jonathannewMemberDear Code A, thanks for your kind support. Following your advice, I put all the buttons into a panel. On Mobione tablet 7″ and 10″, the calculator grows nicely in size. But when I sent it as an apk to my Samsung S4, there are buttons misaligned. For all my buttons I have selected the 2 green arrows, left right and up down.
jonathannewMemberunable to post my reply (to stickleback) again. 3rd try now.Is it because of webpage timout?
support-octavioMemberHi jonathannew,
> I kept getting “page not found” when I click the submit button. Today I had a different error ” webpage timeout”. Is it because I need to type the message and submit by a certain time?
If you type your reply and don’t post it shortly, when you try submit it you’ll get a timeout error but in the catpcha. If this is not the case, the error sounds likely a network issue on your side that is not allowing you to send the data to our server. This might be due to a low bandwith or/and other software could be consuming almost all of it.Note that there’s a known error message that is shown when you used special chars like percent sign(if I try to post it, forum won’t let me), so you should avoid it too.
jonathannewMemberDear support, yes indeed, I was using the percentage symbol in the message I intend to post. Thanks for the enlightenment.
Dear stickleback, thanks for your inputs. Your solution worked very nicely on my Samsung S4. But when I use Mobione tablet 7″ and tablet 10″ setting, my calculator reduces in size. At tablet 10″ my calculator only takes up 40 percent of the screen space. Currently I do not have a tablet to test this app. I attached my mobi file based on your recommendations here, according to your recommendations.

Code_AMemberIs this any better? I locked the positioning of the outer buttons to the edges of the device. Looks ok in the simulator, but I think you said it always had. I cannot test on an android device. Sorry.

jonathannewMemberHi Code A, thanks for your help. I converted your mobi file into an apk and the buttons are still misaligned on my Samsung S4 although on Mobione the y axis of each set of buttons (example 7 8 9 Clear) are the same. Please see the screen capture below.
Do you think this is a bug?

Code_AMemberTry putting each row of buttons in a separate panel and then locking each button all the way around within the panel. I have not tested it I think that might help keep them aligned.
jonathannewMemberI will be posting at the original topic “buttons misaligned when converted into Andriod apps” as “cannot post reply in this forum” issue was resolved.Reason for that is because use the percentage symbol in my message. I am stating this so others can learn.
