I have created a server connector for WebSphere 7 in MyEclipse Blue (version below) and I am unable to start the server from MyEclipse.

    MyEclipse Blue Edition
    Version: 10.6 Blue
    Build id: 10.6-Blue-20120727

When I attempt to start the server from the IDE, I get a popup error window from “Java Virtual Machine Launcher” that says:
Could not create the Java virtual machine.

Also, this error appears in the console:
    Unrecognized option: -Xshareclasses:name=webspherev70,nonFatal

I have no projects deployed to the server, and I am able to start WebSphere 7 from the Windows menu or a command prompt without issues. The server connector in MyEclipse is using JDK 1.6.0_13.

    aotwvybq,

Can you please set WebSphere JDK instead of Sun JDK 1.6.0_13 for your Websphere Server connector ? Go to WebSphere connector Preferences page > Double click on Server instance > click on Next and again click Next > Now set Websphere JDK from the Websphere JDK name dropdown and click Finish.

Let us know how it works for you.
