I used to have Eclipse Ganymede 3.4.1 and MyEclipseIDE 7.1 working.
I even installed PMD, CPD, FindBugs, and Subclipse all from their seperate sites without incident. Then I tried to add the standard Eclipse DTP to MyEclipseIDE.

First, I am now constantly getting the following:
    No Repository Found at:
    http://downloads.myeclipseide.com/downloads/products/workbench/updates/supporting
Come on … either you guys need to get this working, or give us a new URL with a way to set that up manually. Every time I do an update, I get this message. Seriously, I should be able to remove this update site or tell it not to look for MyEclipseIDE updates.

Second, now I am getting an error message about PMD. I mean I installed it from the home site, and MyEclipseIDE is trying to reach it’s site to do an update for PMD when they shouldn’t.

I have spent two 8 hour days messing with MyEclipseIDE. I uninstalled it, I re-installed it several times. I finally got rid of it, and eclipse and tried to re-install as the one package, and still no deal. I simply cannot make any progress with my development work until I have the tools that I need … and MyEclipseIDE has not beome a hindrance not a help!!!

With simple Eclipse Ganymede 3.4.1 I was able to add all my tools, updates ran fine, and I can get working again.

I have been a MyEclipseIDE user for a few years now, and I absolutely USED TO love it.
But, now it is not working, and I am ticked. This is NOT what I expect for my money.
Th Pulse SUCKS and should be removed, it’s NOT helping!!!!

I have no reason to go back now and use MyEclipseIDE unless you guys get it working again. FIX IT PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    tjholmes66,

Sorry to hear you are running into these issues. Can you please copy and paste your installation details here for me? You can get it from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details. I will have a dev team member look into this issue.

    Sorry for the inconviniece.

    tjholmes66,

We had encountered issues with our download servers on May 22, which was resolved back. Can you re-check if you are able to download ME 7.1.1 and add necessary plugins. I have done a fresh install of ME 7.1.1 using the all-in-one installer from http://www.myeclipseide.com and added DTP plugin. I am not facing any “no repository found” issues. Can you please re-check?

    mdriscoll,

Are you still facing the “no repository found” issue? If yes, can you open Help > Software Updates > Manage in pulse explorer? This will open pulse explorer and by default show the current profile as selected. Verify the added plugins under Personal Software. If you don’t need any plugin, right click on that plugin and click on [Remove]. (Close MyEclipse) Now, right click on the MyEclipse profile and click on [Install and Run]/[Re-install and Run]. This will automatically resolve any dependecy conflicts. If you are still facing this issue. Can you send your log files? You can get it from [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.logs

I had uninstalled MyEclipseIDE 7.1.1 combined package for 32-bit on Linux (OpenSuse 10.3).
I even removed my myeclipse.properties file and the .myeclipse directory under my /home/tholmes directory.

I just re-downloaded the combined package tonight, at this early morning hour, and installed it again. I entered my subscription information. I then went into the Pulse Manager as advised. I used Pulse Explorer to add DTP.

That may solve the issue … but I will be adding new plugins as I go. I thought it would be easy to just add the plugins that I wanted. If I get any more of the same error message, I will certainly update this thread.

    tjholmes66,

Thank you for posting your findings. And good to hear that you are all set.

As for adding new plugins, you can use either Help > Software Updates > Add/Remove Software or if you have the relevant plugin/feature, copy and paste them to [MyEclipse install dir]/dropins. I would recommend you to verify that the third party plugin supports the base eclipse. For e.g. ME 7.1.1 is based on Eclipse 3.4.1, so the third party plugin must support Eclipse 3.4.1.

    Hi,

I still have the same problem since a few days. I did not install or remove plugins in this time.

    bbraeuer,

Your attached image is not clear, can you copy and paste the error here? Can you send a mail to support@genuitec.com with attched image in .gif/.jpg, please add ATTN:Joy in the subject and refer to this post. If you can also attach your log files, it will be helpful to determine the root cause quickly.
Can you open pulse2.properties file and look for pulse.handshake.id, this will enable me to do a lookup in our server logs for your issue. You might find it under /Library/Genuitec/Common/configuration/
