Hi,

I have a simple snippet extension and I wanted to try if it works in CodeMix. When I try to install it from vsix, I get the following error:

An internal error occurred during: “Connecting to Code”.
java.lang.NullPointerException

The vsix file is attached.

Thank you for working with CodeMix. Sorry that you are seeing this problem
I could install the Abap Snippets extension using the .vsix file you sent.

1. Can you please let us know what is the status of the CodeMix engine (bottom left you will see an icon besides ‘CodeMix’, hover over to see the status) when you are trying to install the extension using .vsix? Does it say the engine is connected?

2. Please share with us the workspace log file by clicking on the icon for Export Log in the Error Log view and send the file to us to help us look for any errors or exceptions.

Hi,

The icon says the engine is connected, but I still get the error. I also noticed it appears when I first launch eclipse. I’m sending logs from a fresh start and from the point of trying to install the vsix.

Please share with us the screenshot of the error along with the log file to help us investigate further.

Thank you for the logs, this kind of errors are easier to analize on a live chat, there we have some useful debug tools. Can you start a live chat with us? In your eclipse go to Help > CodeMix > Live Chat.. then start a new chat.
