I have tried the hibernate tutorials in MyEclipse 6.0M1
(“Introduction to hibernate tutorial” and “hibernate spring tutorial”)
They both fail and the exception message is

Tried the same projects in MyEclipse 5.5 and it worked perfectly.

Does anyone know why this happens in MyEclipse6.0M1 and how to fix it?

What version of Eclipse are you using with MyEclipse 6.0M1 ? How did you setup MyEclipse 6.0M1 ?

I downloaded the “All in one” version of MyEclipse
(MyEclipse_6.0M1_E3.3_FullStackInstaller.exe) so I use Eclipse 3.3

Regarding the tutorial examples: I actually unzipped the projects from the tutorials and imported them into MyEclipse to make sure the code was exactly the same when I first ran into this problem.

I thought I had provided enough of a clue in my last reply to this, but apparently neither of you read the other thread I mentioned. The root cause of the CGLIB enhancement failed error you’re seeing is that in 6.0M1 the MyEclipse folks started signing cglib-2.1.3.jar. Well, it turns out you can’t do that, and I documented references to this in the other thread. If you look down in the middle of the runtime exception stack trace where you got the CGLIB exception you will see that the root cause mentions signer information which does not match (hence the title of the other thread). The good news is that if you replace the signed jar files in the 6.0M1 release with the unsigned ones from the 5.5 release the problem goes away, plus the MyEclipse folks have added those jars to the signing exclusion list so this should be fixed in the upcoming 6.0GA release.
