Here is my environment

Version: 6.0.1 GA
Build id: 6.0.1-GA-200710

OS:Windows Xp

I succesfully configured CVS with myeclipse with a repository. I am trying to checkout the project(say xyz) from CVS with files having tag (for example 1.2.3) ,by doing so eclipse is checking out all the files available from CVS , but I am only interested in the files with tag 1.2.3.How can I do that??

JD,
When you go to the CVS Explorer, you can expand the root node for a repository you are connected to. From there you will see 4 nodes:
HEAD
Branches
Versions
Dates

you can select a version that was tagged to check out or select a branch and check it out.
