falloffalotMemberFor some bizarre reason Google Chrome has gone a bit weird:
The icon has disappeared and I can no longer test my apps with the MobiOne sim!
Is there another way to test?
I have searched endlessly for a fix – uninstalled – re-installed – anti virus on & off- reset restore point, still nothing….Chrome just won’t re-install fully
support-michaelKeymaster>Is there another way to test?
The MobiOne mobile web simulator will only run with the chrome browser.
Have you googled for chrome installation problems? I’m not aware of any known chrome installation problems or MobiOne simulator-chrome integration issues.
I believe you can find chrome installation info at <user dir>\App Data\Google and <user dir>\App Data\Local\temp\chrome_installer.log
falloffalotMemberYep goggled to death and wasted most of the day trying to figure it out.
Have fully updated all drivers, Restore points the lot.
I have goggled this problem and it looks as though I’m not alone, but just can’t find a fix!
I’m about a few days away from launching my very first app and now I can’t test it!
I am all out of ideas. The exact problem is:
No Chrome desktop icon
No path to launch sim when using MobiOne settings or the path doesn’t work!
However, chrome still, opens when default icon is clicked?
What the heck is going on guys?
I’m getting really desperate now!
falloffalotMemberYay fixed it.
Can’t it was so simple.
Some how the Chrome application prefix .exe had vanished!
Just renamed to Chrome.exe and all worked again.
support-octavioMemberGreat news falloffalot, thanks for sharing the solution.
DanFMemberChrome has simply stopped working for me as well. The .exe extension is in place on both the settings window and at the application location. Extremely frustrating.
Chrome version: Version 35.0.1916.114 m
Error message says, “Unsupported Browser” Currently Chrome and Chromium based browsers are supported by the MobiOne Mobile Web Simulator”.
DanFMemberFound the answer on a different thread.
