In the project properties, my project is listed as a J2EE Web module. There is a classes directory under WEB-INF in the file system, but it is not showing up in the Package Explorer. Previously it did show up there, but I changed the project to a web project which was incorrect and the classes directory no longer can be seen in the Package Explorer. I have removed the web project capabilities through the MyEclipse menu, but I still cannot see the classes directory in the Package Explorer.

    kentucky_b,
You will be able to see the classes directory in the Navigator View. Can you go to Windows > Show View > Other > Navigator and open the navigator view. Are you able to see the directory in this view?

Thank you so very much! What is the use of the Package Explorer then?

The navigator view lists the meta files while the package explorer is a view that hides the details.
