I have Oracle 10g installed. The latest MyEclipse 5.1 Workbench with 3.2 Eclipse SDK, Tomcat 5 and JDK 1.6.

I can connect to the database with TOAD and use it all day long. However, when I try to connect through db explorer, it says,

“Error while trying to login to database. IOException. The network adapter could not establish the connection.”

I have checked it several times and everything seems in order. What gives? And how do I fix it?

Can you open your connection configuration details and give us all the settings you have set? A screenshot would be good to if you’d like to PM it to me and I’ll have a look.
