I switched the diagram view to class association view, but the edit aera is empty no matter which object I click. I’m expecting it to display a full class diagram with all associations, including classes from different packages. Is this a wrong assumption? Am I supposed to drag-drop the classes into the editing aera and create my own association diagram? Wouldn’t this break the existing association?
What I’m really want to do is to draw a class diagam with all relationships across different packages. How do achieve this?

    anniexie,
The option of “Class Associations” “Pakage centric’ view etc are only for the outline view. It will just update the hierarchy according to the view selected. It does nothing to the diagram view.

I’m not sure what you are looking for here. How is it different from any other class diagram?
Do you mean that you have each package (add resp. classes) in a seperate diagram(s) and you want to link them together? If so you can just drag and drop copies of the classes in a new class diagram and add relationships.

Thanks for your response. Yes, that’s exactly what I’m looking for. I was hoping to avoid the manual process. Looks like I can’t. I will do what you described. Thanks.
