I have spent a fair amount of time in the forums trying to discern an answer to the following.

Using Tomcat 5.5, eclipse 3.2 and myeclipse 5.0, I would like to override the generated value of Deploy Location in the New Deployment dialog for an exploded archive. Is that possible? (So far, my readings have indicated the answer is “no”)

And one other quick question, if I go to Configure Build Path, select Add Library, select Web App Libraries, no projects show up in the Project dropdown.

This is my first attempt using MyEclipse. I switched from WTP 1.5 in the hopes of having more control over deployment.

    Thank you,
    steve

You can, it’s just not super-intuitive. When you go to create the deployment, don’t select Tomcat, instead select Custom Location. Then you can put the deployment wherever you’d like.

I don’t have experience using this, can you explain what your use-case is, and I’ll explain how we typically accomplish that task?
