rdepewMemberI currently have MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench 5.1.0 GA installed.
When I attempt to “Disable the Features” via Help | Software Updates | Manage Configuration | Disable , I get the following error messge after selecting \MyEcllipse Enterprise Workbench 5.1.0 GA\eclipse.
“Requested operation cannot be performed because it would invalidate the current configuration.”
When I click for more details, the message “Resulting configuration does not contain the platform.”
I’m trying to do this so I can add Crystal Reports for Eclipse to my configuration.
Please help or point me in the right direction.

Scott AndersonParticipantI’m trying to do this so I can add Crystal Reports for Eclipse to my configuration.
Just so we can be sure we’re on the same page, what makes you think you need to disable MyEclipse in order to add Crystal Reports?
rdepewMemberI was following some written instructions that were given to me. After Disabling MyEclipse, I am instructed to search the Callisto Discovery Site and select the following features to install: 1) Web and J2EE Development, 2) Graphical Editing Framework 3.2.1, 3) Eclipse Modeling Framework 2.2.1, 4) XSD Schema Infoset Model, 5) EMF Service Data Objects 2.2.0 6) Java EMF Model 1.2.1 — Afterward I’d install Crystal Reports Application from my local Eclipse extensions directory.

Scott AndersonParticipantWell, MyEclipse includes *all* off the features they’re trying to get you to install manually. So, I’d revise them to:
1) Start with a working MyEclipse installation
2) Install Crystal Reports since all prerequisites are already present.
rdepewMemberThank you,
I’ll try that.
Scott AndersonParticipantGood deal; please let us know how it goes. But remember, now that your MyEclipse installation is problematic (since you tried to disable it) a new installation might be the easiest way to perform step #1. I recommend the “all-in-one” installer for simplicity and ease of use.
Also, were these instructions developed internally, or did you get them from Crystal Reports? If the latter, we need to work with them a bit to ensure that the correct information is dissiminated.
rdepewMemberI did not disable my working MyEclipse installation. I plan to skip the step to install the set of features I listed above and do the following — 1) Copy CrystalReportsForEclipse1.0 Plugin to the Eclipse extensions directory, 2) Using Software Updates| Manage Configuration | Add an Extension Location | Select the extensions directory where the Crystal plugin was installed at 1) above.
Did I understand you correctly? (And, yes, I plan to vote.)
Scott AndersonParticipantSounds like you’ve got it! And, thanks for the vote. 🙂
