    Baffled.

I have a new computer. I brought all the entire workspace directory from my old machine onto the new. How do I get MyEclipse (5M2) to recognize them and open and use them? I go to File, New Project, Select Java Project, click “Create Project From Existing Source”, select my project’s directory, and I get the message “The specified external location already exists. If a project is created in this location, the wizard will automatically try to detect existing sources and class filesand configure the classpath appropriately.” Sounds OK I guess, but the “Next” and “Finish” buttons are both greyed out, so there is no way to move beyond this point.

As for web projects, I can’t see any way at all to import existing sources.

This is so non-intuitive it gives me a headache. Please help.

If you pulled over your whole workspace, just open it back up using File > Switch workspace, if you meant you copied all your projects over, then you need to use File > Import to import the Existing projects into your current workspace.

And yes, it’s very non-intuitive, but not our design decision 🙁

Thanks Riyad: Case closed. (Bet I’ll have to ask again next time they buy me a new laptop… ;>)

    No problem, glad it’s working.
