We have a tutorial on EJB 3 development but for getting infomation on developing an EJB 3 Entity bean, you can go though the MyEclipse JPA tutorial because the JPA entities and the EJB entities are similar.

Thank you. I followed the JPA tutorial. When I try to create a hibernate persistence unit, I get the following error.

Creation of elment failed.
Preference node “com.genuitec.eclipse.persistence.jpa” has been removed.
How do I fix this?

Can you explain how you are trying to create the persistence unit? The exact steps you are taking? I’ll try and reproduce the issue on my end.

use eclipse.exe -clean clears plugin confusion

this ejb3 stuff is still mind boggling. can you suggest a good resource?

Can you give me a better idea where you are stuck? Are you at the “why should I use these?” level or at the “What kind of transaction manager should I use on a 20-node cluster?” level? (I can’t help so much with the 2nd one)
