johnMemberBACKGROUND:
I installed Version: 3.2.1 Build id: M20060921-0945
I did the manual install of eclipse 5 from zip file
ME-5.0.1GA_E3.2ManualInstall.zip.
I did the extension steps (Manage Config) to add the unzipped MyEclipse 5 and got no complaints.
resulting in … Installation Summary: Version 5.0 GA, Build 20060805-5.0-GA
Feature Details with the nice long list of com.genuitec.myeclipse.(various)
including hibernate.
Configuration Details (below at end of this message)
And I restarted.
MY PC config: Windows XP SP2, 16Gig free disk. 1gig ram, HP ze4145 laptop.THE PROBLEM:
BUT !!! MyEclipse still acts like a J2EE1.4 IDE instead of the JEE5 which is my purpose in installing MyEclipse 5.
For example, these behaviors suggest that it does not support JEE5:
1. I create new J2EE EJB Project,
BUT! the only J2EE Specification Level choices presented by the project wizard are
J2EE1.3 and J2EE 1.4[default]2. I create either a POJO or a Session bean
BUT! The MyEclipse IDE does not recognize annotations such as @Stateless.SUMMARY QUESTION:
❓ Does MyEclipse 5 support JEE5, as I thought, and if so (I hope) how do I get it to do so? ❓
Thanks.DETAIL CONFIG:

Riyad KallaMemberJohn,
JEE 5 support has not been added to MyEclipse yet. It is on our todo list to start with the 5.1 release and continue improving after that. -
