I’m using MyEclipse with Eclipse 3.2.2 on Ubuntu Feisty 7.04 – opening any JavaScript file (even an empty one) in the JavaScript editor just makes the IDE hang using a full CPU. This didn’t happen on the previous version of Ubuntu, maybe there are some issues with the new kernel?

It’s possible the interaction between the Fiesty Fawn kernel and your JDK are causing a lockup… can you try and change around the JDK you are running MyEclipse with and see what happens?

That seems to have fixed it – I was using the java-1.4.2-gcj-4.1-1.4.2.0 JVM, switching to java-1.5.0-sun-1.5.0.11 resolves the issue. Many thanks!

Glad it’s working now. Using GCJ definately doesn’t work correctly with MyEclipse yet, although they are making good advances in the last year or two.
