    Hi,

Our enterprise have bought 100 licenses for our developers here. However, our environment is such that we would ideally like to share the same instance. Of course, each developer have its own workspace.

Question 1: Do you see any problems with that setup? Anything specific to consider?

So far, the only problem we are having is that each developer is prompted to enter its license even though it was entered on the shared instance by the administrator. We have purchased 1 license for each developer and would like to control that globally as opposed to have each developer managing theirs.

Question 2: Why is MyEclipse asking for a license number to each developer even if they are running out of the same registered licensed instance? Any ways to avoid this?

    Thank you

As you’ve found, Enterprise management has its own set of questions / concerns but I’m sure we can help with this. If you’d please send these questions to ‘subscriptions at myeclipseide.com’, they’d be happy to send you a short whitepaper we’ve done on managing large MyEclipse installations. I think the whitepaper will help you obtain the level of control and central administration that you’d like.
