    Hello,

i don’t know why, but since yesterday i can’t start MyEclipseIDE any more?!
I get an error “Workspace in use, choose a different one”, although eclipse is NOT running?!

What do i have to do to reset this?

    Kind regards, Florian

    qeldroma ,

Your eclipse crash.Find file .lock in your workspace (directory .metadata) and remove it.
    Restart eclipse/MyEclipse

I removed it, but it didn’t help?!

You’re probably looking at the wrong workspace then; are you sure you removed the .lock file in the workspace eclipse is trying to start with?

When it gives you the chance to change your workspace, did you try choosing another / new location? Does the problem repeat with that workspace location as well?

You could also explicilty ask eclipse to use a particular workspace by starting eclipse with “eclipse.exe -data c:\tempworkspace”

Let us know if you still experience issues,
    Best,
    Brian.

Weird, but at least it’s working now and I’m sure you aren’t complaining either 😉

I got the same problem (Eclipse always saying “workspace in use”) and the resolution was differet. My workspaces were on
a subset drive and the subset was not defined. So Eclipse must say this when the workspace folder is unavailable.
