I would like to have TextPad like facility so that we can switch between files using CTRL+TAB.
Here I tried that by changing CTRL+F6 to CTRL+TAB but the files doesn’t change automatically. It just pops up that Editor List, which is very much annoying stuff who loves TextPad.

You remapped the wrong action. The default mapping for switching editors is ALT+[LEFT ARROW/RIGHT ARROW], you just need to remap whatever key you want to those actions. I don’t know them off the top of my head, but probably something like “Next Editor” and “Previous Editor”
