I tried to setup Tomcat 6.0.0 alpha using the Tomcat 5 App Server within MyEclipse and somewhat not surprisingly, it failed to start the server and generated an exception within the eclipse log. It does startup with no problem from the command line. Since there appears to be plugin code for each app server, I assume that a new plugin needs to be made available to support Tomcat 6.0.0.

Can anyone provide an idea as to when Tomcat 6.0.0 will be supported within MyEclipse?

    Gregg,
We’ll likely wait for Tomcat 6 to be final, probably MyEclipse 5.1 as we’ve already entered a code freeze for 5.0.3 release.

Don’t forget you can still use Custom Location deployments to handle deployment to Tomcat, and Remote Debugging to debug, you just have to start/stop it yourself if the connector isn’t available.
