Hi,

I’m trying to configure Tomcat as Application Server but I have big trouble.
I’m using a fresh Eclipse 3.1.1 and myEclipseIDe 4.1.
If I try to run tomcat (both 4 and 5.5) I get the error:

A configuration error occurred during startup. Please verify the preference fiield with the promtp: ERROR: transport error 202. gethostbyname: unknown host [“transport.c”,L41]
ERROR: JDWP Tranport dt_socket failed to initialize, TRANSPORT_INIT (510) [“debugInit.c”,L500]
JDWP exit error JVMTI_ERROR_INTERNAL(113): No transports initialized

My OS is Fecoda Core 4 and Java is 1.5.0.06

Sorry for the double post!

I’ve solved my problem. There was an error in my /etc/hosts (localhost was not configured)
