    Hi,

I am unable to create/edit an HTML page in a j2ee project. I can see the newly created HTML page in the Package Explorer view, but when I try to edit it, I see a brief messge saying Opening Designer, then an error message. I am never taken to the HTML page in the editor.

    I am using
    Eclipse Version: 3.1.1
    Build id: M20050929-0840

    and MyEclipse 4.0.2

    The error log shows:

Looks like an installation issue. Have you tried restarting eclipse once with “-clean” argument?

    Greg,

Thank you very much for the fast response. I added the -clean arg to the Eclipse startup script and it resolved the problem.
    Thanks again,
    Jim
