would product the list where i would select bean how ever when selecting bean and pressing enter not appears the same happens with the property values but not the property name

There was an Eclipse bug that was fixed between 3.1.0 and 3.1.1 that changed how content assist proposals were validated. It turns out that this new validation broke some XDoclet tags in 4.0.X. We have a fix for this problem in the 4.1 Milestone 1 release. The milestone release has many new features and some that are still considered technology previews. However, for things like XDoclet, they have only had bugs fixed so they should continue to be stable as the 4.0.X series.

We have tested Eclipse 3.1.1 + MyEclipse 4.1M1 on OS X 10.3 and XDoclet auto completion works fine. So, can you help us determine more about your environment? Something is different if you are seeing different behavior. Can you try to install a fresh copy of Eclipse 3.1.1 + MyEclipse 4.1M1? Can you post the information returned by MyEclipse > About MyEclipse > Configuration Summary? Also, click “View Error Log” and post any information there. Thanks.
