I have problems working with the code assist popup (or however this is called) as in my laptop screen the colors are very alike and I can’t see the selection.

I have changed this in the Eclipse Editors preferences, however, in MYEclipse editors there is no preference that will change that. Can you provide a preference thing that will take either:

a) a custom color preference or
b) the default eclipse editor color preference

Are you referring explicitly to the selection highlight in the autocomplete popup dialog? Can you tell me exactly what the equivalent setting was in the Java editor that you changed?

Window->Preferences->Java->Editor->Code Assist->Code Assist color options->Completion Proposal background

This is not what I wanted, i wanted to change the selection foreground, but I couldn’t find where to change it, so I changed the background.
