I’ve spent some time configuring the colors in each of the MyEclipse editors to be exactly how I want them. I exported my workspace preferences out, updated to a new workspace and imported my preferences. Not of the specific preferences I applied for the CSS editor, JSP editor, etc. were applied to the new workspace. Should I expect this to happen? If so, then we have a bug. If not, then we need this feature added.

I have also encountered this, and worse. The preferences window cycles messages of “error notifying change listener, check the log for details”. It posts this about ten times, and just about the time you figure it’s not going to stop, it does. But the changes are never saved (or used).
Is this related to the XML Editor opening but having no text displayed?

You were correct!
I uninstalled/reinstalled the workbench, and the settings are better behaved now. A relief.
