shukaParticipantEclipse CDT 2020-03 has mismatching combinations of light and dark grey colors in the toolbar and dialogs. CDT 2019-12 was fine.
Maybe it’s a weird combination of the desktop theme and the Eclipse theme. I am using Ubuntu Budgie 19.10. Though, I tried to change visual styles and themes in Budgie and it didn’t help.

Aaron LaraMemberHello! I’m sorry you are having issues with DevStyle. It looks like the DevStyle theme was not completely applied. Can you please share your errors log so we can see if something failed during DevStyle application?
Cheers!

Aaron LaraMemberThanks! It looks like this log file is not complete. Do you have any other
.log
file under yourworkspace/.metadata
directory? Also, do you mind providing a list of installed features in your eclipse? To check this go toHelp > About > Installation Details
and then click onFeatures
tab. You can take one or more ScreenShots from there. Thanks!
shukaParticipantIt was out-of-box and I have already installed some stuff. Let me start from scratch.
Aaron LaraMemberIt would be good to have a sense of your current broken installation regardless. That way I can try to replicate the issue at my end and potentially find the culprit.
shukaParticipant`

Aaron LaraMemberThanks for the details! I will try to replicate the issue at my end and investigate further. Please let me know if you find anything else that can be of help.
Cheers!
Update: We have a potential fix for this issue. See details here.

alef75ParticipantI’ve the same exact issue:
I’ve try in both ubuntu 16.04 (adwaita dark theme) and ubuntu 19.10 (adwaita dark theme)
My eclipse installations has been just updated from 2019-09 to 2020-03.
With 2019-09 all works great, with 2020-03 the issue rises.
I have CDT.
Let me know if you need more details or logsI’ve made some more tests:
Download and run a vanilla eclipse 2020-03 jdt –> no problem with devstyle theme is apply correctly
Download and run a vanilla eclipse 2020-03 cdt –> problem with devstyle theme is not apply correctlyIs something related to the CDT version of eclipse
shukaParticipantYeah, I wonder why it’s not easy to reproduce then on the developers side. I think we excluded the distribution.
support-swapnaModeratorThank you for the details. We could replicate the inconsistent colors in Eclipse CDT package on Ubuntu. I have filed a bug report with the dev team to look into it. We will keep you posted when it is fixed.
Thank you once again for reporting it.

shukaParticipantYay! Thank you for the good news. I am looking forward for this being fixed.
jmag999ParticipantI am also having this issue. Was running CDT 2019-12 prior to 2020-03 and had no issues. I am running on Win 10.

shukaParticipantWow… even Windows. It definitely means it has nothing to do with the desktop environment. I wonder what is so special about CDT compared to JDT.
