    Hi,

currently at least the jsp editor doesn’t work with the
glorious viPlugin (presumably because the myeclipse
editors don’t inherit from TextEditor/implement ITextEditor,
    not quite sure).

Any chances to get this combination working ?

    TIA,
    Axel

    Axel,
Can you describe in detail the setup you have (versions, links to the plugin, etc.) and tell us what happens when you try and use the viPlugin so we can reproduce internally?

I’m currently using Eclipse 3.1M1 (although
it’s the same situation when using 3.0), myEclipse 3.8.1
and viPlugin 1.8.5 (you can get a trial version from
    http://www.satokar.com/viplugin/index.php?module=pagemaster&PAGE_user_op=view_page&PAGE_id=12&MMN_position=14:14
    ).

To reproduce the problem, just open an JSP file
with the myEclipse JSP editor and activate the
viPlugin by it’s icon. Nothing will happen 🙂 To
see the difference just open a plain text or java
file and you will have vi style keybindings.

I’m guessing that the myEclipse JSP editor doesn’t
use the ITextEditor interface as this is a prerequisite
    for viPlugin to work.

In order for the viPlugin to work, the editor must implement ITextEditor (which is probably a good idea anyway..)
for more info, see the viplugin FAQ
