Upgraded from MyEclipse 7.5 to MyEclipse 9. The console has the ability in both versions to use a configurable color for stdout and stderr. For a regular java application this works fine but for the Tomcat server this doesn’t seem to work at all.

(I’ve also tested this by modifying one of the tomcat startup bootstrap files and writing to stderr – same result.)

Looks like it is all just coming through as stdout.

Is this perhaps a known bug with the MyEclipse server integration, or with Tomcat perhaps?

    scotthamilton77,

Can you answer some questions for me to investigate it further?

    1) How did you upgrade to MyEclipse 9? Did you use an All-In-One installer/Pulse/Update site?

    2) Can you please copy paste your installation details from the menu MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details here for me.

    3) Which version of Tomcat are you working with?

Thanks for the reply. We used Pulse to install MyEclipse 9 (we are using the 64-bit windows version).

We’ve tried both Tomcat 6 and Tomcat 7.
