Window -> New Window – opens up a new MyEclipse workspace window for the current loaded workspace. However, it uses the default startup layout rather than the layout associated with the workspace you are currently looking at.

How do you configure the New Window option to use the currently loaded workspace layout?

You can configure this by clicking on Window > Preferences > General > Perspectives and choose relevant settings.

    Hope this helps.

That doesn’t configure the window layout. My primary window is basically split in two with the code area on the top 75% and the console/progress/history/search etc tabs on the bottom 25% area. Things like Package Explorer, Navigator and Outline I have on FastView on the left hand border of the main window area to get them out of the way until I want them.

When I open a New Window, the fast views are not there. Instead, the Package Structure, Images, Properties, Outline etc are open around the edge of my 75%/25% window split.

    DaftMule,
I did some testing at my end. It looks like an Eclipse issue not re-using the settings. You should cross post this issue on the eclipse forums as well.
