support-octavioMemberHi Jeremy,
I saw your email yesterday and was planing to develop an example to provide you. I should have told you, my bad. I have been working with other projects that I received and I haven’t make any progress on the example for you, so, let me suggest you something: send us to a sample project where you have your list and we will provide the changes that you need to add your dynamic hyperlinks. If you’re agree with this please send the project to support at genuitec dot com, use title mobione data from jeremy450
jeremy450MemberHi octavio
I have sent it through about 12 hours ago you should have it.
thanks again for your help

support-michaelKeymasterHi,
We had a backlog of how-to questions that landed recently along with a US holiday last Monday. I’m giving your question a look today. From your description I understand you want to implement a rss reader that can navigate to articles by URL. Correct me if I’m misunderstanding?
The GotoURL action only takes a static URL which will not work for your app. The approach I propose is to use a Run JavaScript action attached to either button or list-item (whatever user interacts to nav to an article). The RunJS action will use a snippet of code to open the article. Traditionally, such rss readers will open the abbreviated article in a local window of the app or include an option to open the full article in the web browser on the device.
Ping me back if I’m missing something. In the meantime I’m working on a simple example project to demo this.

jeremy450MemberHi wayne
yes i want to do that but as i stated in my email when i sent the project in i have already tried this and because i’m trying to link to a pdf file android (havent tested iphone) wont open the pdf in the open app browser. That is why i want to be able to open the os browser so that it will open the pdf. that is why i’m asking for help from you guys. No doesnt seem to get what i’m trying to do. i have tried the some code that has already been on this site and doesnt seem to work. i have already done the rss part, etc. i just have trouble with open the PDF and need it to work on both OS’s
support-michaelKeymasterYes, pdf’s are quirky in html5/cordova apps on android. We have implemented some special handling for pdfs.
Can you share link to pdf file so we don’t spin wheels if for example the file is goofed?

that’s just one link out of alot. but if you look at the project I sent it. you will see the list is auto populated with the PDFs in a RSS Style list but I want to be able to open them for both android and Iphone. can you do the change on the project I sent in to make it easier and better for me to understand it. i’m still trying to get use to using Mobione. just the implementing of the open PDFs part i’m getting extremely lost on. as you wil see in the project I have sent I have changed a lot compared to your example. and that is only a fraction of the my entire app.
