Content Assist Utility in MyEclise IDE is not working.

I faced this problem some days ago in MyEclipse 8 and resolved this issue by changing workspace. But now this formula doesn’t work. I tried it by creating new workspaces, new projects, re-installed MyEclipse with entirely new settings, new locations, but all in vain. I even updated to MyEclipse 8.5 but issue is still there.

I checked Windows > Preferences > Java > Editor > Code Assist and checked all proposals including Java Proposals, and Java Type Proposals. But with no effect.

This problem is only with code assist (control space), it is working with auto complete (appears by pressing . )[/b]

I caught the culprit and resolved the issue. Here’s the story.

I checked Help > Key Assist … (Ctrl + Shift + L) and it showed a list of key combinations. I found “Content Assist — Ctrl + Space” there and clicked it. Content Assist was working fine. I guessed a key conflict with other application. In very first try I closed a Yahoo Widgets and tried “Ctrl + Space” in MyEclipse and got it.

I have uninstalled Yahoo Widgets and now I am very happy with MyEclipse and Content Assist.
