Is there a way to tell ME or E to convert at file save all TAB’s to spaces, if the editor setting is to insert spaces instead of TAB? This not only for Java editor, but for all other editors too.

I know this might be again a core Eclipse function, but I think someone should ask for this 😉

Victor, if you have selected to use tabs instead of spaces, you can reformat the file in the JSP editor, Java editor, or otherwise and they will be converted for you.

I will however mark this as a enhancement request because it is handy to be able to just tell the editor to ‘convert on save’, so you don’t need to reformat.

Exactly, because the reformat currently available in Eclipse is not 100% everyone’s preference. This options would replace the TAB’s without changing the current formatting.
