patwillardParticipantI am doing activity diagrams. Being able to copy and paste between diagrams would save me a lot of typing. Either I’ve not found it: “copy” is not accessible under the edit menu; nor when doing a right-click after highlighting an item in the design does a “copy” optiong appear. Or it’s not there yet.
Can it be done or is it in the road map (and when will that be released)?
Thanks.
PW
Riyad KallaMemberI’m checking into this for you, as far as what release it is planned for.
jimisolaMemberI am also very interested in this issue. It is a must for MyUML to be effective. As it is now I spend lots of time writing the same thing all-over again.
Honestly, think that cut-n-paste easily could have saved me a couple of hours over the last days.
jimisolaMemberNoticed now that the subject was copy/cut-n-paste between diagrams. Is it already to cut-n-paste within a diagram? I managed to get ordinary text copied and that’s all.
I would like to see time improving things such as:– copy/cut-n-paste period (i.e. in and between diagram)
– possibility to copy/cut-n-paste: text, objects (states, arrows etc), whole diagramsSimply: copy/cut-n-paste should be available all-through MyUML.
Riyad KallaMemberIIRC this should be fixed in 4.1, although copy and paste may not be available in sequence diagrams because there is so much metadata tied to the model that we haven’t decided yet how deep we want to go with that operation in that particular diagram.
jimisolaMemberGreat. You guys are fast sometimes.
However, I can’t use 4.1M1 due to problems saving UMR file (see a different thread).
jimisolaMemberCan one copy whole diagrams in the Outline view using standard operations? With standard operations I mean:
1. Drag-n-drop with Ctrl pressed
2. Right-click, Copy, Paste (ask for diagram name)Otherwise that is a feature request as feel. I expect MyEclipse to have these and other standard application usability.
