thank u i could create the UML2 model by first creating a Project (General).
actually creating a project was not specified anywhere in the tutorials i went thru… so i skipped.. any way thanks…

My actual work is to create design patterns using UML2. for that i need various stereotypes and other attributes of UML 2 profile related to PLUS(Product Line UML Based Software Engg.). but, there are no stereo types available.. it is showing blank box under available stereo types.. and is not allowing to create new also.

please help me out.. to find the stereo types..

i am also attaching a screen shot..

Pavani,

1) You can create a stereotype by right clicking on the model and going to “Create Child–>Packaged Element — Stereotype” from the outline view.

2) To add existing stereotypes, can you try these steps :

a) Create uml2 diagram
b) Right click on the uml2 from outline view and select, Apply Profile
c) It will show default profiles, select any of the profile now, If you create class or package
and observe, you’ll see available stereotypes within the properties stereotype tab.
