RathinavelMemberThe MobiOne Studios is getting crashed again and again when I’m working….
Irritated with the Frequent crashing problem.
The Problem occurs in the following scenarios:
1. when tried to run the application i had built.
2. when tried to build the application as .apk or .ipa and deploy it.
3. when used for prolonged hours.Admins Please try to fix this bug and please help me…. its making me go mad 🙁
support-octavioMemberPlease share next details for a better understanding of your problem:
a) Mobione version
b) Does it happen every time you attempt a build? even a new empty design?
c) Log file. It’s located at <user-home>/.mobione/runtime/.metadata/.log
RathinavelMemberHi Octavio,
Please find the details as you requested:
Version:
2.3.2(hot-fix 1, 20130425)This happens not necessarily all the times, but happens when tried to build the project mostly for me.
And I found the word “bug” in the log file you had pointed and here is it:
!ENTRY org.eclipse.ui 4 0 2013-06-12 11:53:14.579
!MESSAGE Warning: Detected recursive attempt by part com.genuitec.blinki.iphone.views.IPhoneExplorerView to create itself (this is probably, but not necessarily, a bug)
!STACK 1
org.eclipse.ui.PartInitException: Warning: Detected recursive attempt by part com.genuitec.blinki.iphone.views.IPhoneExplorerView to create itself (this is probably, but not necessarily, a bug)Please sort out the issue…
Warm Regards,
Vel.

support-octavioMemberHi Vel,
Thanks for your .log file and the screenshot. We have reviewed it and didn’t found anything suspicious. This make us thing that could be a low memory exception, please try to increase the memory settings following the steps doc: http://www.genuitec.com/mobile/docs/technicalReports/memory_settings.html
Also, please check mobione install folder for other log files (hs_*.log). JVM creates them in case of a native crash. If there is something, please share those logs too.
RathinavelMemberHi Octavio,
I had made the changes as described in the link you had shared….
I will use it for a day long and tell you how it worked out..! 🙂
for more than 3 hours I’m working now, so far so good 🙂
Thanks for the Immediate response 🙂
Warm Regards,
Vel.
RathinavelMemberHi Octavio,

The M1 Studios closed abruptly when I tried to run the application i had built.

support-octavioMemberHi Rathinavel,
Thanks for sharing that log. Please respond next questions to help us continue figuring out what is the problem.
After app re-run are you able to use mobione for 3 more hours?
Do you get a similar log to last one you shared, if he try to build another design? Can you share more details about your app such total number of screens, image sizes, additional files, html architecture settings.
RathinavelMemberHi Octavio,
Thanks for the quick response.
MobiOne Studios crashes suddenly, not like it crashes for the first time or 2nd time or 3rd time while I try to build the App.
The M1 crashes @ random places. but especially during building the App I built or during the Deployment of the app.
The details of my App are as follows:
1. 11 pages inside the first Multipage widget.(inside the 11 pages which 2 pages have multipage widgets)
2. Image sizes are mostly within 128×128(png format)
3. No Additional files are being used.
4. I hope that HTML architecture what you tell is regarding the properties that are listed in the .Mobi file.
i. Page Architecture : <default>
ii. File Extension : HTML
iii. jQuery Version : <default>
iv. javascript Libraries : NA
v. CSS Style Sheets : NAJust I thought not to disturb you in the weekends. That’s why so lately I replied. 🙂

RathinavelMemberHi Octavio,
I encountered the crash problem once again today… and I noticed when this happens….
I changed the application type from Web App(hide address bar) to Web App => the MobiOne Studios got crashed.
I changed the application type from Web App to Native App => the MobiOne Studios once again got crashed.
I hope this might give you some leads….. 🙂
Please look into the problem.. 🙂
support-octavioMemberHi Rathinavel,
Thanks for that information. Since you can not share your project due privacy reasons what we could do is collect all crash dumps (files like hs_err_pid10536.log) and send to us. We will try to understand from them if app crashes in single place or in different places all the time.
