I am aware that MEB does not offer the option to generate the websphere binding files from within an ejb project except by setting certain preferences and running XDoclet. The files are generated automatically on deployment and they will not be in the workspace, but in the deployed location in the WebSphere profile folder.

Is there a way to get the files that are automatically generated on deployment to show in the workspace for editing?

    akoniv79,

I have escalated your post to dev team. They would get back to you on this.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    akoniv,

Sorry for the late response. If you move to MyEclipse Blue 9.1 – we do have a new “in workspace” deployment mode wherein you run the EJBDeploy operation on your project as it exists in the workspace and it can then be deployed directly from your workspace location.

As the deployment now takes place using the project as it exists in your workspace itself, I believe the files generated during deployment in this mode should be available for editing in your workspace.

I’m afraid I cannot suggest anything in 8.6.1 that will help with this and would recommend trying this in 9.1

    Hope this helps.
