None of my CSS files have highligted syntax, nor does the icon indicate a CSS file in the Package explorer.

In the File Associations, the MyEcplise CSS Editor is chosen for *.css. I did a normal install over a fresh Ecplise 3.1 (latest MyEcplise build for 3.1)

Right click on your CSS File > Open With > MyEclipse CSS Editor, did that work?

Yes, for that file only. Still no icon.

Double check your Window > Preferences > Generate > Editors > File Associations settings for *.css, also double check your Window > Preferences> General > Content Types > Text> MyEclipse CSS Content Type as well.

In File Associations, *.css is for <b>MyEclipse CSS Editor</b>.
In MyEclipse CSS Content Type it is <b>*.css(locked)</b>

FYI, I do see the icon in the File Associations list beside the *.css entry

What is your Eclipse Build iD (Help > About) and MyEclipse Build ID and Version (Window > Preferences > MyEclipse)

    Ecplise: 3.1.0 I20050627-1435
    MyEcplise 4.0 Milestone 3 (3.9.310) Build 20050808-4.0 Milestone 3

I unzipped Ecplise, then installed MyEcplise, both without doing any work. There is a version of Ecplise 3.0.2 and MyEcplise 3.8.4 on the same machine, but in separate directories. Each Ecplise version (3.0.2 and 3.1) points at a different workspaces, though I did by mistake start Ecplise 3.0.2 once while it was pointing at the 3.1 workspace.

    1) Pleas upgrade to MyEclipse 4.0 GA
    2) Please use the -clean argument to clean your workspace: http://www.myeclipseide.com/FAQ+index-myfaq-yes-id_cat-30.html#343

Upgraded to 4.0GA, and started with -clean. No change.

However, reading another thread, I made the MyEcplise CSS editor the “default” editor for .css files, and now it works.

    Thanks.
