    Question:
I have installed MyEclipse Version 10.1, build Id: 10.1-20120316. I’m installed on a HP Laptop using Windows 7 Enterprise, 8GB Ram, and a 64-bit Operating System.

The issue I’m having is that whenever I do a ctrl+c to copy and then ctrl+v to paste the paste comes out as double. For example, if I was to highlight and copy “paste comes out as double” from above I would get “paste comes out as doublepaste comes out as double“. In order for me to get a proper past I have to right click the mouse and choose “Paste”.

I have tried these options to solve the double pasting without any effect:

    1) Re-installation

    2) Switched Workspace

    3) Have tried several editors within MyEclipse. All double paste.

    4) Completely removed the key bindings for Copy and Paste on the preference page (Window > Preferences > General > Keys). Still no affect.

Needless to say this is very time consuming not to mention very annoying. If you know of a fix I would truly appreciate your help.

    Thanks,

    Karl,

I see you have finally made it to the forums.

In your PM you mentioned you tried several editors and they all exhibited the same double pasting behavior.
    a) Can you please explicitly try the Java editor? I’m not sure if you tried that.
    b) Can you explicitly mention the names of a couple of editors in which you experience the problem?
    c) Once the problem manifests itself, can you try pasting in a non editor area within MyEclipse, for example, in the text box in the File > Switch Workspace dialog or any other text area. Does it happen here too?

I’m assuming you haven’t installed any third party plugins, please confirm if not the case.

If you unbound the copy/paste keystrokes in the Key preference page, I can’t see how the paste would have worked, even for a single time.
    1) Could you please confirm your OS?
    2) On the same key preference page, you can change your keybindings to “Emacs”. In this binding Alt+W is copy and Ctrl+Y is paste – can you let us know if Ctrl + Y is resulting in the double paste behavior too?
