Hello,

can someone explain me what the entryies “externally launched”, “custom location” and “custom location suffixed” in the project deployment dialog mean? I did not find any reference in the online help. I can make sense of externally launched, but the rest..

Christian,
Externally Launched and Custom Location are the same. We provided Externally Launched as a “mental prompt” because when we first introduced Custom Location a handful of folks were confused how they deploy to “app servers launched outside of MyEclipse”. The suffix one is for some app servers that require a suffix for an exploded deployment (like .EAR) while some don’t need it.
