rmcvayMemberYou can begin your hunt in report-view/birt/pages/control/NavigationbarFragment.jsp.
zbandersnatchMember+1 for getting rid of this annoying “feature.”
I wish I’d known about the MyEclipse report viewer branding before I bought a subscription. Certainly not complaining about the 60 bucks, but the report feature was the main reason I bought it. It’s great as far as it goes, but the big fat non-changeable “MyEclipse Report Viewer” title at the top is a hard sell to customers who don’t want other companies’ names displayed prominently on their web apps.
There was no mention in any of the materials that this couldn’t be customized. To the contrary (from the sticky posted at the top of this forum):
Q: Since the report is just a normal JSP page, can I add some logic or customize it?
A: Definately. MyEclipse Reports will generate some basic access code for you to load your report, but you are free to copy and paste that code into another page possibly inside of a template or wrap the page with your own styling, logic or code if you want.I didn’t take that to mean “You should probably know you can’t easily remove our branding from the page.”
Having said that, if Genuitec really feel they are best served by branding the report viewer, how about something a little more professional, like a small tagline stating “Created with MyEclipse” somewhere where it’s not the most prominent thing on the page? I could live with that.
Having said THAT, for anyone who needs a fix right now– the offending statements are attributeBean.getReportTitle( ) at lines 43 and 155 in the
report-viewer/birt/pages/layout/FramesetFragment.jsp file. But… Genuitec, please do the right thing and remove this cruft.
