I do not see Database Explorer in the perspectives list. Is it not in 8.6? This is my installation:

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Yes, database explorer perspective is present in 8.6. How did you install MyEclipse? Meaning – all-in-one installer / pulse / archived update site on top of eclipse classic? Did you check the same under – window > open perspective > database explorer? Please refer attached screenshot. Can you check “MyEclipse Database Tools” is selected in MyEclipse configuration center > Dashboard tab? Also open window > preferences > MyEclipse > Database Explorer and click on [Restore Defaults], [Apply] and [OK]

The database tools box was not checked so I checked it and applied the update and now it shows up in the perspective list. Thanks. Do you have any idea how this was deleted or not installed for me?
