Hey All,

I want my app to be able to retreive data from a database I create, the user of the Iphone will not have access to edit the database instead they will use a combobox to select a name then that pulls up all the data for that name from the database, the bit I am stuck with is I have no idea what type of database i can use with this software, can I just use mysql, im new to all this coding stuff so sorry for my noobish questions!

Do you want to store the data on a server somewhere that can be accessed from internet or should all of the data live on the user’s machine, i.e., stored locally?

I would like to know how I can link to an outside database using the MobiOne editor.

How does one connect to (let’s say a MS SQL) database and how would the returned dataset be processed?

With PHP as usually…. call you php page from your link. doesn’t works ?

But I have no tested this php calling, from side.
